Logan, Ohio-based Nonprofit Gives Back to Community
January 10, 2023
LOGAN, Ohio – Established in 1972, Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club (HVMC) has hosted hundreds of motorcycle rides and races over the past four decades. The club has also generously donated to local causes in the area throughout the years, including the American Cancer Society, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Trimble Local School District athletic department, and other local charitable causes.
Each year, HVMC partners with residents in the area who allow the club to utilize their privately-owned trails for a once-a-year off-road motorcycle ride. For 2022, it was the desire of the landowners that charitable donations be made to Logan Professional Fire Fighters 3868, Marion Township Fire Association and Monday Creek Volunteer Fire Department — who protect them, their families and their properties in an emergency.
“The members of the Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club are pleased to donate $500 to three local fire departments, totaling $1,500,” said Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club President Kevin Masters. “These contributions are made on behalf of the local landowners, who graciously allowed use of their land for the club’s annual Copperhead National Dual Sport ride in July 2022.”
Members of HVMC presented the checks to the three fire departments, who were very appreciative of the donations.
