Contributions Made to Fire Departments, Sheriff’s Offices in Hocking and Perry Counties

Feb. 7, 2024

LOGAN, Ohio – Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club (HVMC), an off-road motorcycle club established in 1972, has a long history of not only hosting events but also giving back to the local community. Over the past four decades, the club has donated to the American Cancer Society, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Trimble Local School District athletic department, local fire departments and other charitable causes.

HVMC partners with residents in the area who allow the club to utilize their privately-owned trails for an annual off-road motorcycle ride. For the past few years, it has been the request of the landowners that charitable donations be made in their honor to those who serve and protect the surrounding community.

HVMC recently donated $500 each to the following entities:

  • Logan Professional Fire Fighters 3868
  • Monday Creek Volunteer Fire Department
  • Starr Township Volunteer Fire Department
  • Hocking County Sheriff’s Office
  • Perry County Sheriff’s Office

“Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club’s roots have been in Logan for over 50 years,” said Kevin Masters, club president. “The organization’s connection to the community is evidenced by the many local landowners who generously allow their property for use during our annual dual sport. It’s our honor to make $2,500 worth of donations in their honor to local fire departments and law enforcement.”

Club members presented checks to the five public service organizations in December 2023. The club will host its annual ride in August and plans to continue supporting causes in the community.
