LOGAN, Ohio –
Established in 1972, Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club has hosted hundreds of motorcycle rides and races over the past four decades.

This year, the club has organized an adventure ride to be held on May 22 and an AMA National Dual Sport set for July 16-17 at the clubgrounds, located at 13121 Jake Tom Road, Logan, OH 43138. Bring your tent or RV for primitive camping at the location or stay at nearby accommodations.

The adventure ride is open to all makes and models of street-legal bikes and will cover approximately 125 miles of blacktop, gravel and tar and chipped roads in the Hocking Hills region. A GPS download will be available at the event or riders can opt for a turn-by-turn paper route sheet. Riders will enjoy a lunch sponsored by Motohio. Pre-registration is $35, and an additional $15 for a passenger. For more details about the event, visit HockingValleyMC.com/adventure.

“We usually get more than 100 adventure riders,” said Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club President Jim Keeny. “It’s a self-guided ride where people can divide up into smaller groups with their friends. We have a great route planned. Riders will leave the clubgrounds and wind their way through the hills of southern Ohio to the Vinton County Airport for our lunch stop. From there, they will start their return to Logan utilizing Zaleski State Forest roads and will pass the historic site of the Hope Furnace.”

The Copperhead National Dual Sport is a stop on the AMA National Dual Sport schedule. Riders will enjoy an 80-plus-mile course each day, with lots of single-track and optional challenging hero sections. Lunch is included in the entry price and dinner with a campfire is included on Saturday night for two-day entries. Pre-entry is currently open for $65/day or $115/weekend. For more information about the ride, visit HockingValleyMC.com/dual-sport.

“Along with using the club’s land, we also work with generous land-owners in the area that allow us to ride on their property specifically for this event,” said Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club Secretary/Treasurer Ric Myers. “It is a great test of skill and endurance on some of southeastern Ohio’s most scenic trails.”

Current sponsors for the adventure ride include Motohio and Continental Tires. If your company or organization is interested in sponsoring the events, please visit HockingValleyMC.com/sponsor.
